Absolutely, though it seems that some people need to get away from the environment of their youth, either by actually moving, or by marrying someone from a different part of the world. I have either been with, or tried to pursue, women from Adelaide, Mauritius, Thailand, UK .. but not from here.
My comment was from my experience, that American girls seemed to me more romantic, and attracted to me, than Australian ones.
