My meaning:
The dilution of noxious campaign ads throughout the nation, as opposed to their concentration in swing states, is insufficient reason to amend the Constitution.
We don't amend the Constitution to avoid an annoyance.
There are other reasons to do so. They're much better than the one I offered with my tongue firmly in my cheek in my reply to Frank. They may turn out not to be good enough, but we need not debate the fate of the Electoral College based on campaign advertizing.
