The Presidential elections take way too long. No wonder there is such national division when we're at each other's throats for months on end.
The way I'd like to see the Electoral College revised is in the definition of a "tie vote". The current system assumes that voting is "exact" and ignores a basic truth that all measurements contain an intrinsic error. There is a "standard deviation" in voting. IMHO, if an election is ever so close that say 5% of the Electoral College votes determines who is President, the election should be declared a "tie" and the decision goes to the House of Representatives.
