Average temperature, not maximum

If you're buried by even a few inches, the diurnal temperature cycle is hugely modified. That's how animals survive in the desert.

That's how ice survives on the equator of Mars without melting. If it melted, it wouldn't survive.

You seem persistently blind to the realities of a cold arid system. If I fail to respond to any particular post from now on, it doesn't mean I agree with your distorted perspective, justy that I'm fed up of wasting my time trying to get you to think, rather than just parroting off abstracts that you think support your case, but don't.

Leaarn some critical thinking, and try some experiments inside your domestic freezer to see how ice behaves in a vapour-transport system.

You can lead a Clark past water, but you can't make him think.
