"Being in a liquid environment would act as a gee suit, but there would limits. But if reclined and in a liquid environment one, I would think one could withstand hundreds of gees over long periods of time"
Let me clarify this. Gravity or acceleration create water pressure. In column of water at Gee 1 = 33' is 1 atm. 10 gee = 3.3' is 1 atm. 100 gees = .33' is 1 atm. If in a vertical position and accelerating at 100 gee, the difference of pressure in the distance from heart and lung to the brain would be 2-3 atm. Therefore with 100's gees in acceleration you could have problems associated with the bends.
Another factor is the difference in density of the various materials in the body. If you put a bucket of muddy water and don't disturb it, the mud will evenually settle to bottom of the bucket, in a higher a gee environment the time needed to settle out would be less [in a 100 gee world the air and water will be clearer]. Blood also settles out [the clear plasma rises. The separation due to different densities of material in the body would occur regardless of whether you were reclined or not and would be at least one factor limiting extemely high acceleration.
