“How much spare time do you have”?

Turn off the TV, the computer, the radio and telephone.

If you don’t absolutely have to do it for survival, don’t.

You’d be astonished at how much time you have then. When I was a young’n the winter was spent doing all the things we didn’t have time to do on a farm during the growing seasons. Grandad even made his own fishing nets, furniture and boats. When there’s only a few hours of daylight to work outside you have to make do inside. Or go absolutely nutz from boredom.

This is where the time came from for all those handicrafts.

We spend a great deal of our time doing things that we want too. And far less time doing whatever we have to do to survive.
