I have no idea what the connection is between USSR 5 year plans and us:

- apparantly having no idea we would have to provide security in Iraq, after an invasion.

- apparantly having no idea there whould be serious resistance.

- apparantly having no idea that there would be explosives involved that were not produced in a munitions factory or were but were not used exactly for their originally intended purpose.

- apparantly having no idea that infantry would have to fight in cities.

- apparantly having do idea that their explosives might go off!!!

Your info about IEDs is sad but true. The sad part is that anyone ever expected that we would have some technological means of preventing their bombs from going off. Or that our plans seem to depend on finding some magic means to accomplish this. So very very sad that you and the defense department offer this up as an excuse for failing to provide security.

In wartime, the only people who count on the enemy doing exactly as we plan are idiots.
