In point of fact, many private industries, employing many thousands of skilled and creative people, are providing what our military needs to do the job on every level.
I have worked for many years at the edges of the aerospace divisions of the Defense Department. If you read the publications I do, you see many ads from technical companies, large and small, touting their achievements in bringing the newest and best to our armed forces. The soldiers don't need to wear ads on their armor or their equipment. The people who count in the defense industry know who built these things.
Meanwhile, bitter ignorant little people like Maureen Dowd can keep slinging it. Nobody cares what she says any more.
