Well I agree that exploration is sufficient for me, but I also agree with Gary that history says it's not sufficient for the general public. I don't believe the general public considers space necessary for humanity's survival so you can't judge whether that would motivate them or not.

My previous comments came from your expression of irritation over the survival justification which sounded as if you thought we should spend any money for survival elsewhere.
