You worked for BHP? Interesting. I did a couple o' days consulting work with them here in Colorado, but they pulled out after a year or so and some limited drilling.
I don't think this Wishstone Rock is composed of mineral sands, just doing some mental exercise in multiple working theories by examining common titanium and phosphate associations. Sure looks like igneous or a chemical precipitate texture. I still lean towards the former. We've a couple o' carbonatites here in Colorado that have been explored for titanium. I don't recall their Phosphate content, but I've personally collected apatite from the one south of Gunnison where the titanium claims are. That's next on my list . If I run around in enough circles, maybe I'll bump into something that makes sense.
The relative chromium, magnesium, bromine and other elemental depletions are part of the story, too.
