I'm sorry, but your post is garbage from beginning to end. Because the hammer-and-sickle is tolerated, so we shouldn't complain about - or prevent - the public display of Nazi dress and inignia? Otherwise we'd be all hypocrites, right?
I really hate that sort of self-serving and disingenuous 'argument'. The other guy is just as bad, or worse than this guy, so if someone is only attacking 'this' guy alone, he's automatically a hypocrite for not attacking the other 'opposition' guy as well. You totally ignore the basic, intrinsic issues and ethics, and just turn the debate into a war of entrenched positions and egos. Only sometimes do the basic and true ethics come to the fore in your posts.
I have seen you take this cunning, smart but ultimately totally irrelevant angle over and over and over again in relation to US and international politics, and have not bothered about it much as I'm usually not too interested in those issues. But if you try this crap out with the Nazis, I will take you to task for it, make no mistake.
Only 60 years ago, your country made great sacrifices to wipe out Nazism. I know you are as opposed to them as me, but don't bring this sort of stuff into the argument. You know very well that Lee has pro-Nazi sympathies, so don't be disingenuous and pretend to turn the situation into the abstract. He was using my original post to surreptiously push his own pro-Nazi line - and you know it.
Only 60 years ago, I would have been under orders to shoot and kill as many Nazis as I could - and I sometimes regret that I don't live in those times. If the situation ever arises again (God forbid), I will be there to offer my services. In the meantime, it is an excellent and most welcome development that Nazi displays could be outlawed throughout Europe - thank you for bringing that to my attention! I didn't know about that. I only wish that will happen elsewhere - it would be great and proper to see the Nazis and the Klan banned in the US as race-hate terrorist organizations, for instance. I look forward to that day.
Meantime .. I remember you writing that you will be busy this year with aerospace contract work; and similarly I will be busier this year too, probably. So hopefully that means you will have less time to post shit like this, and I will have less time to have to bother to reply and expose it for the lame hypocrisy it is.

On the contrary: you are making exactly the same point as him - minus the Nazi sympathies, of course
The whole thread (31 posts)

- yes, how dare others get outraged at public displays of Hitlerism - "the Stalinists are getting away with it, why can't we" - life's just not fair is it .. (n/t)

- I side with you (and the US Bill of Rights) on most of this
- I think the point I'm trying to make...
- Yes, you do try to make that point (n/t)
- And besides
- AND THE POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE (WHICH YOU IGNORE)
- I think the point in Britain is that neither Lenin nor Stalin bombed London.
