I am STILL on record for believing that there IS INDEED life on Mars.
My logic is simple, based upon these assumptions.
1. Life emerges wherever conditions permit for a sufficient period of time.
2. Once life begins, it adapts to even the harshest conditions.
3. Conditions on Mars were once wet and otherwise favorable for the emergence of life.
Conclusion: There is life on Mars today.
Obviously, my assumptions may be in error. But they seem reasonable. If they are true, then there IS life on Mars today.
