Off Topic » in reply to nonetheless, that is 'welfare capitalism', not 'socialism'

Ya can't get anywhere with black-and-white thinkers.

Who can't tell the difference between a political and economic system.

Socialism is a great way to provide basic services to citizens. Capital has to be protected in those systems, because it has a great contribution to make.

And in capitalism, the excesses of which stem from human nature in the form of greed (WorldCom, Enron, etc., etc.) the contribution of labor has to be protected by law.

And they both have to be required, by law, to protect the source, good ol' Mother Earth.

Because neither is any good when allowed to run rampant over any of the others. Which, unregulated and unchecked, they will do.

How "libertarians" can ignore Ebbers, Lay, et al., and still spout their nonsense is beyond rational thought.
