Beating dead horses
Trying to establish any scientific framework/consequences around sexual mores/preferences reminds me of that guy who walked into a bar and talked about how excessive alcohol consumption causes cirrhosis of the liver and is a toxin.
That poor chap was lucky to leave the bar in one piece. He learned a valuable lesson: don't rain on anyone's parade and everyone will like you...or at least tolerate you. The fact that every word he uttered was true was inconsequential.
