I was referring to the invasion of Iraq itself as a mistake, not the interpretation of the intel. I still hold on to some hope that the latter was a mistake also...but it gets more difficult all the time. Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld had a doctrine that they wanted to put to the test, and with 9/11 as the excuse and Iraq as the laboratory, away we went.
So, you may well be correct. There could be a lot more pain yet to face as our eyes focus on the mirror. If we were in fact intentionally misled, the next question becomes can we salvage ourselves or are we beyond hope?
