If they were not rebuilt I think it would mainly it would be because there weren't the necessary craftsmen to recreate the originals.

That's a load of crap.

If they aren't rebuilt it will be due to politics, bickering between 2 rivaling Architects, Meddling Billionaires, and folks that just don't give a damn.

I personally would like to see the towers rebuilt similar to what Trump is proposing. Much as I can't stand Trump. The Freedom Tower is also OK though. It's pleasing to the eye, (at least mine) and would be a wonderful monument. Constant bickering on the subject will only ensure that Ground Zero remains a hole in the ground for another 5 to 10 years. If it remains a smoldering crater...the terrorist win.

Lets get on with building it already.
