Well, my main point was that your numbers were crap, and your response seems to be that even one collateral casualty is too many, and the massive numbers of innocents that would die if the status quo were maintained is irrelevant compared to the costs of war.
It's interesting to go over the past 75 years of human history, and speculate what the world would be like now if that somewhat bizarre parameter had been applied to all wars.
Liberals should not be in charge of our defense. Ever. There aren't any Trumans in the Democratic Party leadership any more.
I continue to believe that if Gore had been President after 9/11, we would not even have attempted regime change in Afghanistan, but just performed the usual sweeps of aerial attacks typical of that administration in Bosnia, Iraq, and other places. There would be a lot of holes in Afghanistan, and somewhat fewer terrorists, but the Taliban would still be in charge, and so would Saddam.
But hey, any innocents being killed would have been tens of thousands of feet below, and off the media radar.
It's estimated that about 2,000 Iraqis died in the Desert Fox attacks, which accomplished absolutely nothing. How many headlines did you see about that?
