And I agree with you. But we have clean killing these days as defined by the corporate media. You don't see the blood or the carnage OR the American soldiers coming back in body bags or suffering from severed limbs. Two years later we get the occasional interview with a soldier on TV.

I loved the picture on the cover of Newsweek a couple of months ago with an Iraqi woman waving her inked purple finger in the air....she had VOTED! (wow.....and THAT"S what the war was all about.....this whole debacle. Amazing how the American public can go from being worried about the Iraqis blowing us up, to cheering someone who can vote......after all, ALL votes are counted, right? In ALL neighbourhoods? By electronic voting machines that are built by the ruling party with no paper trails and no one to oversee their veracity? Now THAT'S Democracy!)

I mean, after all, we are dumbed down to NOT be outraged. Just pull out your flags, say that you are justified in the name of God, and kill all the terrorists.

There is a physician here in town, a Christian conservative, a pillar of the community, a religious family with adopted children, plus several of their own who is RABID about cleaning up the terrorists over there......."all of 'em"....sorta like the mentality of "kill them all and let God sort them out".
Frightening really. His hatred and bitterness so upset me, I won't go back to him, and this is a family I have been close to for 25 years.
I can't tell who brainwashed him, the church or the media. I'd hate to think it was his own bias as a PHYSICIAN, who is supposed to protect life.
