Percentages, perschmentages.

What you started talking about at the beginning of the thread was charges of a conspiracy to suppress publication of scientific studies that do not conform to a consensus...

... which charges were brought by the same person who allegedly found no consensus.

You've already conceded here that there are other venues available for Peiser to submit his alleged refutation of Oreskes' essay. I know you're familiar enough with the history of other branches of science to understand that theoretic and interpretive disputes of hard data -- which, after all, is the lifeblood of scientific advancement -- are often carried out in "rival" publications. Peiser has no more standing to demand that Science publish him than I have to demand one of my poems be included in the next Norton Anthology of American Literature. I refer you to my reply to Larry J and invite you, as I did him, to consider the very real possibility that Peiser's rejection was for editorial considerations other than his premise.

But I do not back away from my comparison of anti-evolutionists to "anti-global-warmingists" (if you'll pardon the awkward coinage). Their tactics and methodology are nearly indistinguishable.

And you should know -- I've posted here often enough on that very topic, including in this thread -- that your repetition of the "6000-year-old Earth" canard is specious in regard to the current campaign against evolution.
