Twenty years ago, I was a full-on Star Wars fan boy but not anymore. I'm tired of George Lucas telling me that I'm a blithering idiot. Here's a quote from the URL that alcaray referenced:
>Anakin invades the Jedi Temple with an army of Clone Troopers,
>he enters the Council room to find a gaggle of sad younglings
>hiding behind the seats. They see Anakin and emerge, asking
>"What should we do, Master Anakin?" The query's met with a
>stone-cold Anakin firing up his lightsaber. The next time you see
>the kids, Yoda's sifting through their corpses on the floor.
Cool, so Anakin is an al Qaeda fascist cutting off people's heads. So the snappy come back: The movie is PG-13 and Lucas has said that he would not take his own kids to see this movie. Only there's this tiny little problem that all the P.R. hype for this flick is focused towards children, e.g. ads on the back of breakfast ceral boxes, comic books, toys, etc. George Lucas is setting America up to have our kid's brains "F"ed with big time. Thanks George! Tell me you don't have the ethics of a cockroach. It's bad enough that you ripped me off with the last two turkeys from the Star Wars series. Now you pull this trick. What's really annoying is you're stilll going to make a hundred times my lifetime earnings on this thing.
Not amused...
