re: So what did you see?

Back in 1975 in Southern Ontario, three of my neighbours and I saw a silvery disk about 25' long and 10' high approach us within 200 ft. (just a guess). it was just above the pine trees, so I'd estimate it to be no more than 100 ft.up.

It had a softly lit central dome on top of it and had rotaing red lights going around the perimeter counteerclockwise. This is known as a close encounter. At other times, we saw several bright lights of various colors dancing in the skies above us, appearing and disappearing at will, joining up with each other and blinking out then re-appearing in other locations. They made angular and triangular movements. The sightings were numerous in our area for MILES around and were legendary to some extent. There were other locals who had close encounters.
Often the sightings co-incided with other events, such as unusual loud beeping sounds, electromagnetic fluctuations, battery failures, and animal disturbances.

Crop circles pop up in that area these days.
