Thanks for your candour. I've never seen a saucer, just the lights like you also described.

So what do you think is the best explanation?

Though I don't like the psychic implications I think that Jung's exteriorisation theory is the most parsimonious. Somehow deep psychic contents can be externalised - which I have experienced personally, tho not manifest as Saucers. I have no physical theory (aside from the "Matrix" scenario) that explains the process but I know it is "real".
