I'd like to match our track records when it comes to helping minorities in this country.
About two months ago I literally scarified my well being to help a young Hispanic kid because his Dad was beating on him and his Mother. I was the only person he trusted at the time because I was the only one who was seriously trying to help him. He called me to defuse the situation because he didn't want the police involved or to take his daddy to jail. I had to call the police, I was afraid of what his Dad would do to him after I left. They took him to jail, but he was out the next day. This kid lives in such a cruddy, poor environment It hurts me to see it. Everytime I try to give him something, his low-life Dad gets upset. There's absolutely NOTHING I can do for him, it's painful. CPS is so overwhelmed, they told me he's on a long waiting list.
