Historical examples
Hubert Humphrey was anti-space. Walter Mondale was very anti-space and foamed at the mouth when the Space Program was mentioned. Despite these two examples, there is no correlation between being liberal and anti-space. For example, the Space Program's greatest champion was Lyndon B. Johnson who was liberal to the core.
Local examples are the drive-by anti-space trolls who'll post something stupid at the Habitablezone and then disappear into the void. Intellectual cowardice appears to correlate with being anti-space.
