Ted Kennedy is definitely anti-space. Went around grousing about the Apollo landings with Ralph Abernathy. Special interest entitelment proponents often view the Space Program as a source of huge funds transferrable to their favorite cause. These folks are most often innumerate as their favorite programs would consume HUNDEREDS of billions, not just a measly 16 billion scavanged from a gutted NASA.
