Current planning is a bit unfocused some want to use a hybrid suit something like the Mark III others the I-Suit still others have suggested a modified shuttle EMU or something simpler.

A Hardsuit weights more than the current thinking would suggest is a good idea. Making an advanced Hardsuit using new technologies is no better than making stuff with smart fabric or contractile polymers. There are bearing issue with any pressure suit and a need for field serviceable parts and bearings if they are used.

Vykukal-type Hardsuit are not the smallest storable item possible, nor the lightest, nor the easiest serviced. The best they offer is zero-prebreath. Other lighter suits offer that.
