There are scientists and engineers in TMS who do publish in journals.

Not all of us are professional scientists and/or engineers. I have a BA in art.

I find your scientific snobbery slightly offensive. Not all organization exclude people because they lack credentials. Some of these folks have spent more hours on Mars science than the actual experts. It's true that many make mistakes in interpretations and thus reach false conclusion. But I have many friends who are scientists and engineers who have admittedly reach false conclusion themselves.

ISDC and other conferences have just as many speakers who lack credentials and they have just as many who talk and run. Unless the conference offers them lunch or dinner.

We are trying to create a useful environment to do good science. That you don't get this or want instant satisfaction is just baffling.
