Based upon the referenced LLNL report, we're screwed!
All future scenarios showed the United States burning MORE petroleum than we are now. In a couple of decades, the big Middle Eastern oil fields will be past peak production. Many of those oil fields will be inaccessible due to regional wars. China will be demanding and receiving a much bigger piece of the energy pie. Based upon that scenario, we're screwed! We need to shift over to nuclear energy ASAP!!
