It's a given that Mars colonists would have clear eustachian tubes if they used a pressure suit (same holds true for a scuba diver). Guys swinging a pick within a pressure tent would sometimes experience sudden drops in pressure when the tent tried to fart to Mars ambient. They'd quickly learn to pile lots of regolith around the edge of the tent to hold it down nice and tight. People who do saturation diving to work on off-shore oil wells have similar experiences (easily one of the world's worst ways to make a living). The pay is good but people in that line-of-work often get bone necrosis due to dissolved N2 in their bones.
