re: you're getting a little closer to a measurable assertion

"Sounds like we're agreed then, you assert that environmentalists have killed at least 2 million people through inhibiting DDT use. To make it specific, you say that but for actions by environmentalists (and by governments serving as proxies for environmentalists) DDT use would have occurred that would have prevented at least 2 million fatal cases of malaria since the publication of Rachel Carson's book up to present. How's that? How's fifty dollars on this assertion?"

pwokenyaw wants to bet on something apparently.
Maybe, pwokenyaw thinks he is at the racing tracks?

"Sounds like you've got a second assertion when you say DDT doesn't kill birds: that DDT has not caused eggshell thinning in any bird species and resultant mortality for the embryonic bird. Fair description?"

The idea of Racheal Carson's that DDT kills any birds was not accepted by scientists when she wrote the Silent Spring, nor subsequently has it be proven. No birds have died because of DDT or DDE.
Silent Spring is an excellent example of pseudo science.
