I have never really looked into it too far because it creeps me out.
I've heard that the parts taken usually have the highest concentration of environmental toxins in them, so there may be a "study" going on. Some animals are entirely drained of blood, with NO blood left on the ground. Maybe that's studied too.
They have found mutilated cows in TREES, as if dropped from the sky.
There have been reports of black helicopters and unknown lights in the sky during the abductions and mutilations. There have been reports that the cows appear to be lifted in a blue beam of light, paralysed and mooing. Some appear to be marked by a paint or spray that is only visible under ultra violet light.
You got me on this one. If we have the technology to do this, wouldn't it be easier to just go to an abbatoire? And if it's NOT us doing it, then who or what is doing it and WHY?
the author Linda Moulten Howe has written a couple of books about it, and says you can only track it down so far with the local and state police before it goes into the black hole of disinformation and cover up.
Someone knows something they don't want us to know.
