For a sample of one....
I am way more left of both parents, so neither upbringing nor gentics played much of a role there.
I am also much more questioning - especially of the items of news that reinforce their views but contradict mine. But that's just me suffering from some form of BDS I guess.
(Oh wait, they hate him too........)
