I agree with the change.
Yes, freshman year in Engineering school was a rude shock to moi system relative to HS where half-hearted attention and a propensity to read voraciously allowed one to skate through HS and the SATs. Way back in those pre-historic university days, the goal was to flunk out 2 out of 3 of the freshmen engineers, sending them off to dreaded liberal arts school.
