I think you're spot on on ADD. We may be medicating SOME kids who are just a std deviation or two outside the mainstream of behaviour. I know this sets me up bigtime for ragging, but I suppose I'd have been a ritalin candidate in grammar school, always taping my feet or a pencil and talking out of turn. And look how wonderfully I turned out!
Our current scientific knowlege of mind, IQ, etc. is way too primitive to install policies that could have serious personal consequences.
