A fairly good list of terrorist incidents can be found here. There are others on the internet. You are welcome to go through it and count how many are connected to radical Islam.

You can also check out a list of recent wars, and ongoing ones. In how many of them does radical Islam figure, especially compared to the number of Muslims in the world?

Are you aware that many of the mosques in the U.S. are supported by Saudi Arabia's Wahabi movement? Are you aware of what is being taught to children in far too many mosques in the U.S., Middle East, Europe, and elsewhere?

Of COURSE we're dealing with an "ideology." "A perverted faith." These guys in England just didn't sit down around tea one day in their Doc Martens and say, "hey, let's blow up a subway."

Christianity has its own dark history, and Islam may outgrow theirs as well. The point is, we are sitting at the same point in history with Islam as the point of the Inquisition and Crusades in the history of Christianity, and pretending that religion has nothing to do with the current situation is inane.

It doesn't matter that you don't think it's a religious war. The men who planted those bombs, flew planes into buildings, and are running suicide bombers into our troops, think it's a religious war. Deal with it.

There is no easy solution to this. Our tolerance for religion is enshrined in the Constitution. Even other Western nations that don't have constitutional protection are rightfully reluctant to interfere with religious organizations on their own soil. And we have no authority to deal with such organizations in countries like Saudi Arabia, the home of the Wahabi movement. But that is where these actions are being engineered, and pretending otherwise is not helpful.
