I'm starting to think that Civil War in Iraq wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Everyone appears to want it. The Israeli’s would be happy. The Iranians would be happy. The Syrians and Turks: Happy Happy! The Europeans and the media would be elated because they could blame the resulting Iraqi carnage on Bush and Blair. If you really think about it, even Bush’s supporters, the war mongering right wingers would be happy because all they've ever wanted for Christmas was a complete Armageddon in the Middle East! Think about it! Everybody would be happy but Bush!

The terrorist’s armies would all swarm into Iraq, in an attempt to affect an outcome of the Civil War that would fit with their own ideas of creating a Muslim "Nirvana" on Earth. The whole region could focus their attention on their "problem" in Iraq, and put "converting the Western infidels" on the back burner while they attempt to sort out the Iraqi mess which would only get more and more messy. And at the end of it all (If there ever was an end, and hopefully there wouldn’t be), the strongest Iraqi left standing will be in a position to unite the remaining Iraqi people in a peaceful Iraq which will dominate what is left of the shattered Middle East. If at the end of it all, the whole region glows in nuclear fallout then GOOD RIDDENCE!!! Its already 130+ degrees there for gods sake!

As I can see it, the only real losers in an Iraqi civil war would be Bush, Blair, and the innocent Iraqi people. Oh don't get me wrong, I feel the Iraqi people's pain; but, if the news media "experts" are correct in their assessment, the Iraqi people will lose either way: Bush will steal their oil to enrich his Halliburton cronies, killing anyone who gets in their way; or alternatively, the Iraqis will face pain and misery in a civil war. On the initial reaction, of course a civil war sounds far worse than allowing Bush to have his way--But really think about it: At least in a civil war, the Iraqi's will have a chance to determine their own future. They will be just like US in the 1800's! North vs. South. Brother vs. Brother. Father vs. Son. Gone with the Wind. All that Civil War nostalgia will belong to the Iraqi's who survive and give them a unified sense of national identity, something they clearly lack at the current time. Of course the sad truth is that Bush and Blair will never give them that option. They just couldn't bear to let them control their own oil!!!

But we need to give them the chance to wage a civil war of their own! We need to get the UN to demand that the US and Brits pull out all their troops at once so that the Civil War chips can fall where they might: A civil war would actually be a great thing for Iraq!

The saddest part of it all is that Bush, the creator of the entire mess will still probably get off SCOTT free… but oh well, Bush can retire into obscurity and shame in 2009. He can be content in the knowledge that he has appointed a rightwing Supreme Court and he can even take sick pleasure in the fact that he has forced American women into their own carnage of back-alley abortions. I'm sure President Hillary Clinton, in a compassionate move of forgiveness, will probably pardon him of his war crimes and make the Republican minority in Congress and the US public happy. But with a female President even feminists will be happy with the outcome!

Believe me…Everybody will be happy!
