"As I can see it, the only real losers in an Iraqi civil war would be Bush, Blair, and the innocent Iraqi people."
Bush and Blair won't lose, they aren't going to run for another term. And disasters alway improve their approval rating. And they aren't running Iraq. So nobody loses except whose Iraqis who will not enjoy a blood bath, who would perhaps rather just do something boring like live in peace and raise their family.
And the Republicans can blame it all on the Democrats, and Democrats can continue blaming it on the Republicans. And it can get so disgusting that even Kennedy finds the dialogue "unbecoming".
And Ms Clinton won't do well, because she has supported the war, so the rising star in Dem land will be Dean. So everyone is happy, happy.
And into this mayham, the America public won't let some Dem be president. Probably some fire breathing preacher type will get the Republican ticket, and crush the Dems. And MSM will be the happiest, they will get more eyeballs and they will spend less money getting their headline stories.
"In surprise move, Israel has turned Iran into glass parking lot and the radioactive cloud is causing mass hysteria."
Joe Bob in Turkey: "Yes, people running around in panic, it's just terrible. Look there someone who just got run over [did you get it! What hell were you doing!]. I'm going over there and I see if the victim who is screaming in pain, has any comments they would like to make on this situation".
