This is about accountability. I remember those on the right here all agreeing that the outing of Plame was a crime- now when it is starting to look like Rove may have been involved you guys are changing your tune... "who cares", "Hey the lefties did it a couple decades ago"

When it was revealed that Sandy Berger had mishandled classified documents in a major way I advocated that he be punished to the maximum extent of the law... that he was on the left really didnt matter to me- what he did was a crime and (maybe even more damning) it was just plain STUPID. I didn't follow what happened to Berger, but I doubt he got 1/10th the punishment he deserved.

It was pretty obvious from the beginning that the outing was political revenge... but more than that, it was a CRIME.

Can you address the issue without 1) dismissing it as 'BDS' 2) irellevent bitching about the 'liberal MSM' 3) pointing fingers at lefties that did something along the same thing?

If so then answer the questions honestly:

Was the outing of Plame a crime? YES OR NO

If Rove did it should he not be prosecuted to the full extent of the law? YES OR NO

If this was done as political retribution is it not a troubling misuse of power? YES OR NO

If a senior whitehouse official burned a CIA operative as revenge for her husband not taking the party line on the arguments for starting a war, dont you think that IS newsworthy? YES OR NO

Simple questions, Tom... can you bring yourself to answer them honestly?
