So, who was Hock named after? I'd suggest just reviewing the "Dramatis Personae" listed and explained in Illium before reading Olympos. For some strange reason he left it out in the new book and Olympos offers little in the way of recap. I'd forgotten much. I thought Olympos was a bit slow the 1st 100 pages but then it's back in gear.

Simmons' "Hard Case" mystery novels are a great read.
