I think you can get some idea of the directions people were going, and there are other threads as well. I knew damn well what precedent had just been set: They wanted a particular person out of office, and were showing what would happen otherwise. The responses here were all over the map, but not a lot of the liberals agreed with me.
As for the editorial pages and the rest, you can do your own research.
