Beside the point, anyway. I fully expected this to devolve into "what is this 'Left' of which you speak?" and I wasn't disappointed.
The fact is that, regardless of the other political reasons that the vote in Spain could have gone the way it did--and liberals touted these non-terror reasons widely at the time--the terrorists, by their own statements back then, were convinced that their actions were the reason.
And I just posted new information showing that this was their intent going in, which was new.
They wanted Aznar out. They wanted the socialist in. They killed a bunch of people to accomplish it.
Now if you're okay with that concept, fine.
