Oh yeah, right

What really pisses the Left off about Rush is that he spreads information that the Left and the media would rather you didn't hear.

Oh my...he hee...hee HEEE HA HA HA...[shrieks of laughter]

Tom, lemme tell ya, us here on the left side of the fence are delighted to publicize Limbaugh's rantings far and wide. There's no better way to discredit the Right than in their own words.

1. There is a distinct singular American culture - rugged individualism
and self-reliance - which made America great.

Along with a few million square miles of "virgin" territory (that is, occupied only by Native Americans), abundant natural resources, and a hardy population of immigrants contributing their own cultures to what Limbaugh laughably calls a "singular" culture. Does he really believe that America was created out of thin air?

2. The vast majority of the rich in this country did not inherit their
wealth; they earned it. They are the country's achievers, producers,
and job creators.

And yet so many did inherit their wealth. Show of hands: How many think that Bill Gates's life is a rag-to-riches story? Wrong, he founded Microsoft at the age of 19 by dipping into his trust fund.

3. No nation has ever taxed itself into prosperity.

4. Evidence refutes liberalism.

Evidence like this?

5. There is no such thing as a New Democrat.
6. The Earth's eco-system is not fragile.

Geez, do I even need to comment?

7. Character matters; leadership decends from character.
8. The most beautiful thing about a tree is what you do with it after you
cut it down.

"I am Shiva, destroyer of worlds"...Limbaugh makes conservatism sound like a death cult.

9. Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of the twentieth century.

Yeah, what did FDR ever do for us, besides lead us out of the Great Depression and lead us to victory in World War II? Rush is right, that's chicken-feed next to Reagan's tax cuts (and subsequent recession), and Iran-Contra and S&L deregulation...Nice cheerleading job, though, as the Soviets self-destructed. Two points for the Great Communicator.

10. The 1980s was not a decade of greed but a decade of prosperity; it was
the longest period of peacetime growth in American history.

Characterized by the S&L scandals, but superseded, of course, by the even more impressive Clinton 90s, and the corporate accounting scandals of the Bush Millenium.

11. Abstinence prevents sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy -every
time it's tried.

Rush is speaking as an expert on abstincence here, I'm sure.

12. Condoms only work during the school year.

Uhhhh?

13. Poverty is not the root ("rut") cause of crime.

Really? Fascinating observation from a Rightist, after Enron, Worldcom, Martha, and all the rest. I guess Rush is right, those people weren't driven by poverty. But look me in the eye and tell me that somebody who steals the proverbial loaf of bread to feed his family is motivated by greed. Really, I'd like to see that.

14. There's a simple way to solve the crime problem: obey the law; punish
those who do not.
15. If you commit a crime, you are guilty.

That's either the lamest observation ever made, or a threat to suspend due process.

16. Women should not be allowed on juries where the accused is a stud.

Wait'll you read #24!

17. The way to improve our schools is not more money, but the
reintroduction of moral and spiritual values, as well as the four
"R's": reading, 'riting, 'rithmatic, and Rush.
18. I am not arrogant.

[Snort!] OK, maybe "buffoon" is a more accurate term.

19. My first 35 Undeniable Truths are still undeniably true.
20. There is a God.

Not if there's a Rush Limbaugh.

21. There is something wrong when critics say the problem with America is
too much religion.

And President Bush just endorsed Intelligent Design. Any questions?

22. Morality is not defined by individual choice.

How does one make a moral choice without choosing? Does a "rugged individualist" slavishly substitute obedience to the law for personal morality?

23. The only way liberals win national elections is by pretending they're
not liberals.
24. Feminism was established as to allow unattractive women easier access
to the mainstream of society.

And money was established to allow pigs like Limbaugh to get laid.

25. Follow the money. When somebody says, "It's not the money," it's
always the money.

One true statement! Follow the Republican campaign donors.

26. Liberals attempt through judicial activism what they cannot win at the
ballot box.

The 2000 election decided by the conservative majority on the Supreme Court. Recess appointments like Bolton. Attempts to rig the rules in Congress (e.g. filibuster) to win what they cannot win in a fair vote.

27. Using federal dollars as a measure, our cities have not been
neglected, but poisoned with welfare dependency funds.
28. Progress is not striving for economic justice or fairness, but
economic growth.
29. Liberals measure compassion by how many people are given welfare.
Conservatives measure compassion by how many people no longer need it.

Or who can smply be eliminated from the rolls by changing the rules.

30. Compassion is no substitute for justice.

Justice is impossible without compassion.

31. The culture war is between the winners and those who think they're
losers who want to become winners. The losers think the only way they
can become winners is by banding together all the losers and then
empowering a leader of the losers to make things right for them.

Remember the culture war rhetoric of the last election? How does demagoguery to stir up resentment against "elites" differ in any way?

32. The Los Angeles riots were not caused by the Rodney King verdict. The
Los Angeles riots were caused by rioters.

Yeah, shit just happens for no particular reason, in Limbaugh's Demon-Haunted World.

33. You could afford your house without your government - if it weren't
for your government.
34. Words mean things.

Which is why I'm delighted to take Rush's words at face value. He really does mean all the whacko stuff he says.

35. Too many Americans can't laugh at themselves anymore.

Oh, that last is just too much! Watch the Right dogpile this thread in outrage.

OK, Fox, have I tipped the balance to Flame yet?
