I don't think that source is necessarily representative of what will happen following the pullout of Israeli settlers from the Gaza Strip. I could be wrong.
I guess I'm curious if you think that the presence of heavily armed settlers and a familially supportive IDF is conducive to long term stability. Ever see 'Braveheart'? Eventially the English had to leave Scotland. Not exactly the same, I know....
The point I guess is this, the majority of both groups, Israeli and Palestinian, are fairly recent arrivals (or their children) to the region. Clearly the Israelis now have hegemony. What more is needed? Either some consession must be made or what...? Ethnic cleansing?
People need to live in the reality of now where millions of lives are at stake. Not in the fairyland of the religous extremists Jewish, Muslim, or Christian who think some 'pure' solution will make the invisible man in the sky happy. You know damn well that the settlers shouldn't be there in the first place.
The fact that Ariel Sharon of all people is leading Israel into this action should say something about just how dire the situation has become.
