Flame » in reply to The Bush administration has failed the people of this nation

Donald

I understand that you're angry, and I am too. But I think that this discussion is better postponed until after the situation has been stabilized. We do need to have this discussion, and it's so important that we shouldn't do it prematurely and with passions inflamed by the horrors we've been witnessing. With time will come greater clarity and strength of purpose.

See my post to Mark below for an attempt to put the problem into a larger perspective. We as a society, and our governments in particular, don't deal intelligently with warnings of problems, and partisanship is a deadly handicap. The only proper way to "capitalize" on this disaster is to carefully and objectively examine it for opportunities to learn and do better next time. Certainly the record of the Bush Adminstration, as well as past Administrations, are the primary grist for the mill. The time of reckoning for Bush will come, but it's not here yet. Wait for the time when these accusations will do the most good.

These are just my opinions, and shouldn't be taken as official policy. I posted a message up above which expresses my personal feelings in greater detail.
