You unfortunately learned the hard way. I was attacked by my neighbours cat when I was a little girl, for stepping accidentally on our kitten. My mother had to pull this cat off my face. I still have a scar where it tried to scratch my eyes out. Oh, and it bit my mom in the ankle when she pulled it off my face.
But I'm a cat lover.
Getting them to the vet is a matter of trial and error. Backing them into their pet carriers is always easier than head first. And I'm pretty good at pushing pills down their throat when they're sick. Wrap their front paws with a towel and move quickly.
I take it you own a dog now?
