The month isn't over yet by a long shot, but check out the graph of military casualities on page 4 of the Brookings Iraq Index.

One jag in a curve is not a trend, but what makes this one interesting is that it is in the middle of a massive military offensive in Western Iraq.

Just a streak of good luck? Could be. Or is the enemy having a harder time with military targets?
