The reason is that Marxist agricultural policies ALWAYS fail dismally. Since agriculture is the source of food, there is ALWAYS a food shortage (translation "famine") under Marxism. People object to being starved, so violence begins. Then the Marxist government suppresses the violence with brutal force.

This sequence happened in the USSR, China, Vietnam, North Korea, ..... Why should Chavez' regime be any different?
