...if you truly did know about the Robertson gaff. Your response sounded to me that you did not. And there is no shame in not having heard all the news. At least: I don't think there is.
How are you making a connection between missionaries working with primative tribes and any real attempt to assassinate Chavez?
Man, I said what I said what I said. Never said a darn thing about a real attempt to assassinate Chavez (except in a reply to Sam above, concerning C's paranoia, where I noted that there have been attempts). So to answer your weird question as best I can: I'm making no such connection, and will not attempt to do so just to make you happy.
Additionally, I'm wondering whether you think that kind of actions taken by Chavez have universal application...
Dunno what you call "that kind of actions". I spoke about one particular action. Why would you want to expand my statement to cover things it did not cover?
...or whether you think the kind of things done by Chavez belong in some exclusive pocket universe.
"kind of things": good grief! Tell you what: give me a specific "thing" rather than a generic "kind of thing" and I'll comment on that. Doubt that any answer would include "pocket universes" though. And note that if you invoke right-wing pocket universes like Mayer's "starvation, mass arrests, mass killing" I will probably not reply at all.
