Not really important, I guess, it's the thought that counts. I'm glad to see that there's a limit to political support, at least for some people. Nor would I be so gauche as to speculate that Republicans painted themselves into a corner by going after Clinton and now have no wiggle room left to excuse their own...justice is justice no matter how twisted the path to get there.

Bringing up Clinton sure sounds like you're thinking that this could lead to Bush someday, just as Haldeman and Erlichmann led to Nixon. Nixon resigned before he could be impeached for covering up politically-motivated crimes, including leaks and other dirty tricks aimed at silencing his critics like Daniel Ellsberg. Doesn't what it's alleged the Bush Administration tried on Joe Wilson sound an awful lot like Nixon's attack on Ellsberg? If sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, and taking into account that Republicans felt perfectly justified in impeaching Clinton for covering up a blowjob, don't you think an impeachment of Bush would be (at least!) equally justified?
