This left-moderate is waiting for a certain few shoes to drop: Texas v DeLay, US v whoever in the Plame Affair, the Meier appointment...
You oughta see what the far-left wing of the Democratic Party in Missouri is saying about connections between DeLay's alleged money laundering and the acting majority leader, our new Governor's daddy. I haven't bothered the Zone with it -- if it's true, it'll show up in the real world soon enough.
In re Plame, I'm recalling that nothing went any farther than North and Poindexter vis a vis "Iran-Contra".
If I were inclined to give any credit for brains to any of the Bush Admin., I might suspect Ms. Meier's appointment to the Supremes is a deliberate stalking horse. The problem with that is: I'm not certain what they might gain on the next appointment by throwing this one to the wolves.
Meanwhile -- speaking of right-moderates, and as a former Pennsylvanian -- I trust Arlen Specter. I got a right good chuckle out of his sending Meier's questionnaire back marked "incomplete".
